well, its better to ask these stupid questions and feel like an eejit than not ask these questions, buy a mk3 throttle body, find it doesnt work and actually be an eejit...

Well the 16v is k-jet, and the late 8v digifant, they're different. There isn't any real difference in size anyway so you wouldn't gain anything either way.
