I have a Scorpion Monza full stainless system (car came with it) - Loud between 70 - 80. Gets quiet again somewhere above 80 (although the sirens tend to break the silence...)

If you are only getting a backbox then it will not be noisy anyway so anything should be ok. I had a Scorpion system fitted to my 16v before and that sounded sh!t.

well put it this way, u are looking at between ?150 - ?200 for  a standard exhaust or ?200 - ?300 for a performance system. The performance system will improve performance and last a lifetime if you get stainless steel. I would personally go for the s/s one.
