just thought i would let u know how mad my friends husband is.
first of all hes got more money than sense secondly hes ordered the new 200bhp turbo mk5 golf with all the extras. now he's had lotus's porsche's merc's and at the moment has an bmw m5.
if you had the cash what would you buy
well i would by a mk5 if i had the cash but would get aftermarket ice and nav.... your thoughts

he will get a great car but lots of the options are not exactly value for money
i still don't think the base mk5 gti is bad value. yeah it's 20k but it's a quality brand you are buying into. how much was a new base mk2 16v in '92? just under 16k! a vr6 highline? 22.5k!!!

Wow.................. thats a huge amount to spend on a Golf, ask him what it'll be worth two years down the road, then watch him cry.

lol Im just about to spend £30k on my R32 and it will be worth 28k in 6 months if that helps!
