bloody studs!!!

finally found where to get the parts i need from, got all of them BUT my exhaust stud(as there was one missing off my new head) is too short!! by about a cm, WHY!!!!???  why cant it just have been the right one? why is it that the only stud labled "exhaust manifold stud" on theyre computer for my make and model car happens to be the wrong bit, grrrr they better find me the right one  :angry: :angry:

Could be in the wrong way - there are sometimes a log end and a short end to the thread...  :smiley:

nope, the whole stud is as long as the bit of stud thats supposed to be showing out of the head if that makes any sence?? and also neither threaded end is as long as the long end of one of the studs already in the head

sorted, apparently the parts are in the wrong place all the way back at vw in scotland where they get theyre stock from..... so i should have better have the right one tomorrow morning :smiley:
