what are the disadvantages of bigger rims/wheels? Do they slow down the car ? :huh:

not as such... they can affect acceleration and they will affect handling

not so much 'best' darl. it all depends what kinda look you're after!? i like both, so i can't comment on my preference i'm afraid!

nah you can go 17's on a mk3 without much trouble! i meant more like 19's would be worse.... 15's work best on mk2's.

i wouldn't go any bigger than 16''. Like the others say it will destroy the handling of the car, and acceleration will take ages

it can also put extra pressure on ur clutch and in my wexperience,as found out at the weekend, u sum times cant get ur wheel bearing covers on, which would obv mean changin ur wheel bearings more frequently :rolleyes:
