Handbrake light, please help !

Does anyone know the correct part description or part number for the bulb and holder that lights up when the handbrake is applied, (I think its also the brake fluid level warning light) any help much appreciated, thanks in advance !

P.S its a MK2 GTI

mate, i had the same prob. you may find it to be the actual switch near the handbrake itself. the part from the main stealers retailed at about £12! cant remember the part no though!

Thanks for the reply, it might be the swicth but the bulb was gone when I got the car so I've ordered that from VW today and it only cost £1.44 inc VAT so thats not bad but if it still doesnt work after that I'll try the swicth. Thanks for the advice appreciate it  :smiley:
