Heater controls not lighting up. Help.
« on: 25 March 2006, 22:10 »
Turned my lights on tonight and the whole panel with the heater controls and air-con (not climate control) lost its illumination.  I'm hoping it should be just a bulb, but does anyone have any tips on how to remove that panel.  Tried reading the new topic at the top of this forum but it covers everything except that bit!

The trim(wood/alu) will just pop off and then the panel can be unscrewed from there i believe :undecided:

Oh that's alright then.  thought I'd ask before I look at it today as I thought someone was bound to say that it's a nightmare to shift and you need to do something else first!!

Yeah I hope you read this before you take the trim off as like the guy above said it's a simple job of pulling off the centre fan control knob and the bulb is sitting in there (it's just the one bulb to light everything up) like has been said use a pair of long nose plyers to pul it out but take care not to smash the bulb - take note of the orientation it plugs in too as it can be a bit of a fiddle to put back in.

Thanks guys.  I hadn't got round to looking at it yet, so that's really handy.  Will save me messing around with the trim!
