how easy is it to change my standard cam on my 1.6 mk driver to a 8v gti cam??? will it just be a sunday afternoon job or will it be a all weekender. also is there anything extra i need for doing it ie; tools

is quite easy... all you need is flat headed dcrewdriver 10mm socket rocker gasket 13 mm socket and a 17mm to take cam pulley off i did a cam and lifters in about 1hr but if u havent attempted timing etc before then seek advice

Haynes is your friend in this circumstance. Not a big job, just make sure everything is marked up so that you don't lose timing.
