Strut brace

Jus bought a shiny strut brace for my mk2....it doesn't fit the normal way around....would go quite nicely the other way BUT does it look spaff that way and will people mock me till the end of time...?   :embarassed:

who cares? its your car do what you like, or flog it and get a different one up to you really, i mean how often do you get your bonnet up?

lol aye, in my opinion it looks far better the other way... it's not like I'm gonna be driving that fast etc to be using it anyways...

The question is... Is it meant to go one way or can you have it either?

depends on whether it has a kink in it, so that it can go over the top end. Got any pics and we will be able to tell.

If in doubt, Modify it to fit, get some very thick bolts and some washers, stack the washers up and do the nuts up tight (to take the strain) and bingo  :smiley:

modifying things to fit is half the fun.........
