mk2 Scuttle panel

Hello,

I have tried to remove (circled in green) the grommet type thingy on my scuttle and it doesn't want to budge!



I thought it would just be pushed on but it bloomin well isn't  What am i doing wrong apart from being a dumb ass  :shocked:

need to push it out from underneath. The plastic cap has a little shaft that goes into a pinch grip and holds the grommet in there. Bit of a bastard and usually end up breaking.

Thanks for that, i am going to smooth that bit over anyway so it doesn't matter if i break it. :cool:

its attached to part of the wiper mechanism so can be a cow to remove
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

Don't think there's anyway to get it out without breaking it, just pry it out with a screwdriver if you're gonna fill it over. Shouldn't be attached to the wiper mech tho, it's just there so the shell can be either right or left hand drive easily. There's just another plastic seal it clips into underneath

heat it up a bit first, should make it a bit easier
