My new GTI Mk 4
« on: 18 November 2003, 23:20 »
Went out and treated my self to the Mk4 GTi.Im hoping to get it superchipped to 186 BHP and a few more mods fitted to it i.e atuator,J&R induction kit, turbo timer and when i get some spare cash full s/s system.
(Dont tell the miss's).
I feel it could be better on the acceleration side of it but overall im very pleased with it.
Heres a pic :)
Should the door mirrors be heated as i miss this on these frosty mornings ?

Heated door mirrors are activated by the heated rear screen button (Ie, they all come on together). Do you definitely not have them, or are you just looking for a button that doesn't exist?!

If you have heated mirrors, for them to work you have to set the thumb selector which selects Left or Right mirror adjustment to '0' then when you activate the heated rear window the mirrors should also heat up. If the mirrors are set to L or R then they wont heat up.

Well you learn something new everyday.

It was foggy this morning when I got in to my second wife  ;)  Sure enough I pressed her button and she soon warmed up lovely allowing me a clear view of her rear and both her side bits became shiny and reflective. :D
