Wheel Offsets
« on: 18 March 2006, 10:15 »
Hi,

Does anyone know about wheels offests ?!

I'm confused. I have 14" 4x100 et45 Orlandos at the moment.
I want to change them for BBs wheels but the wheels i've seen vary from ET 33 to ET 38 !
Would they both fit, and what would be the results of both sets ?! :embarassed:

they would both fit, the offset is the distance in mm from the centre of the hub to the outer edge. low offsets will stick out of the arch further, high offsets sit further in.

so an et5 will sit out of the arches, and et50 will touch the suspension. et35 is about right on most golfs so a few mm either side will be fine. both sets will sit further out than your current wheels which will look cool but not rub your arches.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post
