Disconnecting cental locking
« on: 17 February 2006, 12:28 »
Hi all
Newbie here

I've just bought my first MK3 Golf and I think I have a leak in my central locking (vacuum type). I was wondering if I disconnect the cental locking will I still be able to open individually the front doors / boot hatch with the key? What about the fuel flap?

Thanks for looking.

Gav

There's an emergency release thingy in the boot for the petrol flap. But its not much use if your boot lock has seized like mine has!!!! so make sure the lock works before disconnecting the pump.

Thanks for the replies people.

Yeah I will fix it when I get time. I just wanted to know that if I totally screwed it up that I could still use my car
