front window problems.... ???

Hi,
My front left window keeps shaking and rattling when its open. Does anyone know whats wrong and what parts i need to change?

Its a MK2 GTi 3 door.

I would check the window in the guides either side of the glass. they normally wear out and allow a little play in the glass from side to side, As your car gets older you should notice the wind noise increasing as the various window rubbers get old and shrink.

I would pop the door trim off and see if you can adjust the window in relation to the regulator, this may sort your problem out.
