Anybody dare hazard a guess at what bhp i could expect with a race x head, ported to the max with large sodium filled valves extra large custom intake manifold etc. All bolted to my 9a 2.0 bottom end with 4 branch stainless manifold? Do you recon i could get close to 200bhp?

What cams you going to be using? One the lads on clubgti we know got 2.0lt 16v, schrick race cams, 4branch, throttle bodies, electronic ign & dta managment thats running at 199bhp and that car is built to squeeze every bit out of the engine. so i'd have to say no. Lad called ian b you's had so much done to his and thats 201bhp. These lads cars were in golf+ some months back on 16v shoot out. No ones car really was over 200bhp even bill brookbank 16v jetta on tb's couldnt reach 200bhp. I've only seen 2 or 3 16v over 200bhp and all them been using tb's apart from ian's.

I dont really expect 200bhp but anywhere remotely close would be nice. Not sure about the cams, i still want it to be a daily driver so nothing too lairy.

The 2.0 16v engines in my mk1 were both over 200bhp on 45s.

While its all in bits im thinking i may as well get the bottom end re-cond and lightened and ballanced. Will get the flywheel done too. Ive never tackled anything like this so fingers crossed. You will see lots and lots of q's from me if it all goes ahead!

UFO is that dubsport's old car? If so my mate at work built that and blew it up. Knackered the gear box at santa pod. also built the rear engined orange mk1 vr6 turbo and big dub.
