Actually mate, i supported engine from above, not from underneath!!!
Just spoke to my dad, you may need the PAS universal link that goes from the Steering rack to column?!  :undecided:
It is slightly longer i think!

Yup the PAS UJ is different, and so is the rubber boot that covers it :)

Yeah thats right, i need a rubber boot cause i ripped it trying to fit it.  :embarassed:
Didnt think it would make much difference so left it out.....The engine is noisier now inside the car rather than outside!!  :laugh:

because the UJ isn't protected by anything, a stone could flip up and jam itself in there which wouldn't be such a great thing to happen at speed ;)

Ah, not good!
Better get that fixed then suppose b4 MOT in Jan.
Can you fit it with UJ in place? could i just make a slit in it and slide it over into place or take UJ completely out to fit it?

To do it proper you'll have to take the UJ off, you could try cutting a slit in it but then you would need to stick it together somehow?  I've heard of people using superglue on a split CV boot so that might do it :)
