And i need some fat smaller wheels - does 15x8 give you any rubbing problems? Are you running lowered suspension?

I was tempted by 16x9 but not happy about the arch work! Maybe 15x9..........

With your ride height in your sig, you should be fine!!

It's on coilovers but as the wheels are tyre-less I won't know until next month, but theres no engine in my mk2 so I won't know for a while. I don't anticipate any problems, as it was too low before on the 6.5x15", and I'm quite handy with an angle grinder!!

Hahahaha! You aren't the first to mock and i'm sure won't be the last!  I am hoping smaller wheels first and then a drop.

Did a google for wider 15's and found nothing apart from references to Chevette rally wheels! Hmmmm....  I take it yours were widened for you? Or are they off the shelf like that?

Cheers!

I split them, had the centres powdercoated, and bought new wider outer rims which are widely available. Beware though, the outlay for these kind of rims is in the £1000 mark, they've cost me over £850 and thats without tyres.

wider rims regardless of diameter are going to foul the arches and will require work to get them to fit. Unless you space them out from the hub.
