Right prepare yourselves for a dull question.
Are the track rod ends the same on the manual and power steering racks?
I'm thinking yes, because its just the rack thats different right?
Looking to buy a PAS rack but it needs track rod ends.

would have thought so, but not sure. but when you get them try and get them adjustable both sides as it makes doing the tracking a lot easier

You should only adjust one side of the rack to sort the tracking though, you set the RHS to the book length then adjust the other side accordingly. Once done set the wheel straight & off you go

Thanks for the advice lads, as it happens picked up a different PAS rack and Pump with all the gubbings for £50, so hopefully won't have to worry bout changing the track rods! Will get my mate (mechanic) to put it on after chrimbo
- should be nice not having to fight witht the bloody steering wheel!!
