Treat your digi to a new blue sender this christmas

I was having a few running problems recently.   The car had always ran sweet but one really cold day on the way to work it just cut out unexpectadly.

It started to run really lumpy on the cold mornings and I was getting a bit worried about it.   It had been serviced recently with new leads etc so I knew that there was nothing wrong there.

Blue temp sender- GSF
Black temp sender - GSF (Cos my temp gauge wasnt working)

SORTED.

Better starting, better running,  no cutting out, slightly better miles to the gallon. (Could be my imagination)

WHAT BETTER TO GIVE YOUR CAR THIS CHRISTMAS.   GET ORDERING FOR CHRISTMAS.

hmmm intresting, ive read a few times its worth replacing if you just got car. What is the 'blue' temp bit refering to?
think im gonna have one next week, along with new filter and (lower) springs.

Blue is referring to the colour of the sender itself.
I've replaced mine a while ago but i've got some other gremlins affecting my engine so it didn't make the slightest difference

Hey Andy I couldn't find that sensor listed on GSF, what's the GSF part number for those two please?

Jim,  it depends on how many prongs the sender has.  Mine both had two and the boy at GSF new exactly what I needed.  Just ask for the blue temp sender

I think that I have chucked out the invoice now though and as far as I can see there isnt a number on the little bugger. It was dark with torch light mind you.

Remember to get the little housing seal for it when you order,  they are only pennies and mine was perished beyond use.

Note to add to this post: Don't buy a replacement sender from a motorfactors!

I bought a new Intermotor one yesterday as I have had a few running problems lately. Put it in (sealing ring was fine), started the car - water p*ssing everywhere! Put the old (VW) unit back in - no water leaks.......There must be literally millimetres difference between the two but enough to create a water leak.........

Oh well, have to get one from VW on Monday and take this one back for a refund...........
