no, it`s not my work ;) but I do the same thing soon for my GTI ;)

surely the suggestion of one large hole and some ducting would work better? much more fresh air that way - although the welded alloy thingemy does look lovely :smiley:

...it is possible to run a cone filter on a mk1, but you need one of these:

which replaces the plastic airbox - they're a bit rare and you'd still be sucking in warmer air than the ducting suggestion.

BTW - the induction kit for a mk1 is a bit of an oddity, it's like a basket made of thick strips of metal and then lined with the foam used on some other induction kits - it is a replacement for the whole underisde of the original airbox... and would pull in EVEN more hot air as the engine side is all open!

...you  pays your money and takes your choice as they say :smiley:
