Converted my mate to a VW man
« on: 24 March 2006, 10:54 »
I let my mate have a drive round in my car for an hr last night and he couldnt believe how nice it was to drive. He was also shocked because of the power, with it being a diesel. So He's putting his car up 4 sale and on the hunt for a TDI. Anyone had good comments from people who#'ve driven their car? Its a Gt Tdi 130 btw

I love my VW's, always have, but cant decide which one I love the most. Mk1,Mk2 or MK3. Which makes it hard for me to choose with Mk to go for next.

I started with a mk1 1.0ltr very retro looking but no power.
then had a MK1 GT- rapid! but dangerous when trying to stop lol and a bit rusty.
Now have a MK2 Drive but want a GTI 16v.
My brother had had a MK2 GTi 8v and currently has a MK3 VR6 - Love the VR6 Grunt
My mate had a MK3 2.0l 16v which was abeast, but now has an R32, he has done engine mods and is an animal.

most people who come into one of our cars is impressed one way or an other.

Just wish i new which Golf to get next.

I bought mine as a runaround whilst I'm doing some jobs to my SuperTouring Vectra...but kind of getting in to the Dub scene now!  Who knows what'll happen when the Vectra comes out the garage, wouldn't mind a 1.8T Golf (Mk4/5)!

^^ i was looking at getting a mark 3 cl diesel, theyre reasonabley priced, about £600 ish

I must admit I am a converted man, i was always into my mark 1 clio's about 3 years ago until a guy i started to hang around with got this black mark 2 driver, it was absalutely immacuate, and looked nice slammed on oz super t's, so was going to buy it off him, until he wrote it off....so i bought a red mark 2 driver instead and have never looked back since!
