to be on the straight and narrow (and i take it youve told insurers how nice its is and got an agreed value as shes an oldish girl) it gofor the up grade to a 1.8, will make it alot livelier and im sure it wont cost too much extra.... no point doin stuff and not tellin your insurers cause if owt happens youll not get paid out... so it does pay to be honest in my opinion

tbh Rich..ive found that a 1.8 8v is ok to be insured on..so im sure you'd have nothing to worry about cost wise..and i would declare any engine mods..or anything of real value,if you get my drift..

I do see what your saying...

the 1.8 for only 670 quid sounds a bargain. not sure how much of a straight swap it is for a 1.6 gli though...?

how much should I look for fitting wise? 500 quid?

thanks again!
