hi ppl, im thinking of doing my water pump on my 16v golf tonight, how long roughly would you say it would take to do??? ive got the complete pump!! thanks peeps

Never done a pump on a 16v, only my 8v but should be the same!
Didnt take me that long if i remember, 2 hours?! Was so long ago now.  :smiley:

depends on whether you have power steering and how well rusted the bolts are!!

Thats a point, i never had power steering when i did my pump. Do you need to take the P/St pump off to get water pump out?

you have to take the power steering pump..it's bracket and the alternator  :rolleyes:

dont take long to get them off...as long as the bolts aren't rusted up!!  :grin:
just undo them and rest them on something so you don't have to disconnect them completely..  :rolleyes:
