Weird noise. Clutch? Gearbox?

I finally convinced a mechanic to replace the clutch for me. I should have a new one in about two weeks. After reading countless articles and tips from forum users, and chatting with ChatGPT, I suspect it’s the DMF. If it were the synchronizers, the gears would grind constantly, regardless of whether the car was warm or cold; in this case, the issue actually improves when the car warms up.
Plus, I haven't even had the transmission fluid changed yet... so I’m going to have the whole job done at once. I really hope I’m not mistaken.

I forgot to mention, I've had the gearbox oil changed and it made no noticeable difference.

So, you are replacing the clutch, DMF and gearbox oil? Here's hoping it fixes the issues. I know it makes sense to do it all at once but it would be interesting to know which (DMF or clutch) is the main cause of the problems. Maybe it's just a combination of the two?

I’d like to ask a question. When installing a new clutch kit and flywheel, is there any special or specific adjustment required for the clutch?
Or is the clutch already set up, and you just need to install it?
I came across something online about a special tightening procedure for the pressure plate, but I didn't quite understand it. Of course, I won't be doing the work myself—I'm not a mechanic—but I’m just curious about it.
