Early apologies if this cuts across protocol and happy to be moderated in first post , but I’m actively searching for the above .
Ideally looking for 5 door/ manual / without modifications and  hopefully less than 40,000 miles and some meaningful service history .
Having driven the Mk1 all the way through to Mk 7.5 I remain a massive fan and hopefully I can acquire one of your carefully cherished cars?
Of course , if there is a Wanted section please can this to moved to that section and I’ll keep checking into the Sale section on new availability .
Looking fwd to hearing from you , as a genuine private purchaser with cash .

Welcome along mate, there are a few in this section but not sure they are manuals. Is DSG really not an option for you?

Thanks for the reply - had leased a DSG version and liked obvs  but just old man nervous about ownership and potential repair bills on an older version

I am sure models with a good service history should alleviate any concerns.

Stick your budget up preferences and you may coax owners out of the woodwork

You’re probably right!
So I think I’m budgeting £22-23,000 around this and if that starts to match any potential sellers , it’d be great to hear from you please.

Hi pal take a look at mine for sale in the parts for sale section, meets all your wants apart from its a dsg and its modified altho I have all original parts that will come with sale should the buyer so wish. Cheers
