Hi all....really hope can get some help / advice. So got a GTI Clubsport MK7 running about 450bhp with upgraded turbo, remapped, upgraded hpfp/lpfp, racingline catch can, induction etc.
the vehicle started struggling to start one morning which i discovered that that the oil level was high & stank of petrol, also the catch can was full of petrol. Got the vehicle looked at, after some testing found 1x manifold injector weeping, all other injectors was tested fine (It did have 4x new DI injectors done 9000 mile ago as had same sort of issue), so replaced, new seals on all etc.
After driving it local (less than 20mile), there still seems to be pure petrol but only in the catch can, the car is running fine, not smoking or loss of power etc. So decided to replace the HPFP internals/seals.
But it's still doing the issue, the oil level seems fine & not smelling. But yeah the catch can is just filling up with Pure Petrol. I'm only doing like 16miles a day
Any ideas.....as it's really getting me down...i will say i'm not a mechanic at all.
