Yesterday I got into the car (GTD DSG estate), put into drive and the park pilot started beeping that i was about to hit something! I got out, checked in front of the car, wiped the sensor (centre right beside the number plate) and got back in. As soon as the car is in gear the beeping starts. It stops once 10mph is reached but starts again when the speed drops below 10mph! This happened all the way to work and again all the way home. It's always showing the same sensor on the dash display so I am presuming the sensor is failing and its not an expensive dealer only software fix. Has anyone else encountered this scenario?
