VW Part Number - B 000 750 M3

In the below thread for Polo's a user called Veteran states "My Driver's Manual actually states that if 501-14 cannot be obtained from a VW dealer, then any DOT4 complying with DIN ISO 4925 Class4 or US FMVSS 116 DOT4 can be used."

Thanks, yeah I've been looking around. Using the Amazon "will this fit my car", it narrows down the options quite a lot, and the Comma fluid that comes up has the desired wet and dry boiling points. I assume that is the spec that needs to be met.

I think most dots 4 will do,

Castrol React is very good,  I have used it many times over the years,  Its not the £40 1ltr bottle of SRF and equally its not Motul 600 but a very good quality fluid suitable for low temp viscosity that seems to be stable during and after track days and doesn't need to be bleed every 6 months as some have found with the Motul600.

Obvs you can't go wrong with the VW Fluid,  but like all car brands they just essemble cars and don't 'make' anything let alone brake fluid, its just someone else's with a label on it. Probably a German brand like ZF who own TRW.
