Infotainment screen
« on: 17 December 2019, 08:10 »
So with the dark nights here and with the auto lights Sat nav flicks between day & night mode. Standard screen 2017 model.
I have noticed 2 very faint lines down the screen in different positions where it looks like pixels (or whatever) have failed.
Anyone else? Obviously everyone running to their car now and checking.
It will obvioulsy be a call to the dealer, where lies in my 2nd question.
Bought the car from a dealer 90mins away, however I do have a local dealer, service side excellent , Sales not too good.
Will have have to go to original Dealer for rectification?
Many thanks

I would say you should be fine going to any official VW dealer for sevice or warranty claim.  Also I do not have two lines of pixels running down my screen in either mode.

There've been a few cases of failed pixels on the infotainment screens reported on various forums. It should be a straightforward replacement of the screen under warranty.

As @Brenbo has said, you can go to any VW dealer to get this done - you don’t have to go back to the dealer you bought the car from.
