Yes, you just open the app so that it’s running, then open another app such as music or Google Maps so that is on-screen. As you approach speed cameras, police, traffic  or pot holes, a Waze pop-up (and voice notification unless it’s muted) will appear on the screen.

Waze also shows jams, with a wider orange road marking, with average speeds. Seems more “live”, because of the user input. I use waze for traffic info on the middle screen and the car nav for routes on the dash screen. The system won’t let you have 2 systems navigating, so you can’t compare live.

iOS 13 Issue with MIB1 and Apple Music

I have an issue with playing Apple Music on my MIB1 head unit. When playing a playlist only, not an album, I am unable to skip forward a track using the car’s controls. This happens on all playlists. Very strange. Has anyone else has this issue? Obviously I have no Apple Car play.
