Air care Climatronic bug

Hello, I have a 7.5 MY19 GTI PP and have noticed that when I select the air care function on the Climatronic menu it illuminates in yellow - like the sync button when the left and right sided flows are the same, which I assume is how it is supposed to function.

 If I exit the Climatronic menu and then go back into it, the aircare button is no longer lit up in yellow, but if I press the aircare button the box which says it is active is ticked. Is there any way of working out whether it is actually on or not? And if anyone else ha this same issue?

You mean air con button?

From what I can gather the air care (not air con) is a one off use that resets once the menu is left.

That would fit with what’s happening in mine, but what good is it as a one off use? Isn’t it’s job to automatically turn on air recirculation and filter out dirty air when in traffic?
