and yes it did hurt,wot is the dif between a gti and gli? the reason im asking is because i dont actually have gti on my logbook,but as its an import,wasnt sure if they would have bothered to put it on,or if it was just a gli..i aint bothered either way,just means toph wil have to alter my sig
also....after dj g posted about the interiors..a remembered the guy i was talkin to at e38 who had a similar cab to mine,obv mines better , who said that he'd never seen an interior like mine before..is this cos of it being an import?

dont think there was any differnce in engine just interior di, but GLI's wernt available here in the uk far as i know. where was imported from??

Cabby's were badged as GLI's in the early days and I think were mostly 1.6 but may be wrong, it was just the cabby's version of GTI and the engines were the same as the tintops.

well mine is down as a 1781...but not a gti,its just that ads has always said his is marked as a gti on his log tis all..n then that guy mentionin my interior...

Yours will deffo be a GTI due to it's age and it will be running the same engine as mine and any other GTI of that age. The differences on the V5 will be down to the fact that it is an import and they may have had different interior options in Germany in 1992 so stop your fretting will ya man.

GLI's where 1600 not 1800 from what i can tell had a look on google
