Don't think there is a suggestion they are N Ireland cars...I think the other poster meant they are Eire spec cars.

Pretty sure cars from NI are UK spec.

Republic of Ireland cars are actually generally better spec'd than UK these days. This wasn't the case - not by a long shot - when the MK7 first launched.
