2017 mk7.5 GTD noisy on startup

Booked my car in to Volkswagen to be checked over for a squeak coming from the brakes. To be told not to worry a stone was stuck in behind the disc.

However the tech found it to be noisy on startup, I had noticed but not thought anything of. I’ve now been told the car has to get a new “modified” flywheel. Has anyone heard of this? The car is barely 6 months old so it’s worrying to say the least.

On another note I had went to pick up the car today as parts weren’t available until Tuesday to be greated with a scuff on the passenger side rear door. I’ve been instructed after pointing it out that it will be fixed when the car gets booked back in for the flywheel.

First no foglights and still no refund and now multiple repairs after only 6 months down the line. Hope I’m the only one!

Have a look at my posts from 1st March to the end of May, your not the only one although mine is a Mk7 GTD.

I'd be hammering on the door of both the dealer and VW to get your 500 notes.

I've not noticed excessive noise on startup (I've had oil burners for 25 years, ,my brain tunes outthe tractor sound) but I have noticed a very pronounced shake at tickover which must be some serious imbalance in the engine somewhere.

It was so pronounced yesterday that my wife commented on it as it was visibly shaking her lady bumps!

Might have to get that looked at this week.
