Anyone find ACC brakes very late?

In the car setttings, parking and manoeuvring, enable manoeuvre braking.

Mine's a Mk7.5, I can't remember if the 7 did it...

Had this happen a couple of times, reversing and it thought I was going to hit something and applied the brakes! Didn't realise this was a function...   

Its enabled by default!

MY18 is build date May 29th onwards... so yours is a 7.5 MY17, which doesn't have it.

How does it brake the manual? The car would just konk out.

With brakes? It sort of crunches to a hault... can't remember it stalling

Had an idea it would use the brakes Fred, the force field I heard is being held back for the Mk8

I meant how does it brake the car without stalling it.

I guess when I hear the crunch I drop the clutch and brake anyway, natural reaction for a driver of many decades and millions of miles... I'd imagine my mother would stall it though lol
