Petrol cap
« on: 16 September 2017, 13:50 »
Hi
Is my fuel cap right.............when I put it on after filling up it just seems to 'click' instantly  ...much  less than a quarter turn.....all other fuel caps on my cars seem to turn quite a bit and then click.

Yes mine's the same - just one click compared to a few with previous Golfs. I prefer it.

Yeah it is a bit weird as I only tend to put fuel in mine once then I trade it in for a new one  but because I drive another car that needs fuelling weekly and sometimes have to fuel up works vans that have kindly been left empty, when fuelling the Ed40 I often put the cap on, go to get in the car and then go back to check the cap is actually on properly as the movement seems to be too short with barely any turn of the cap...
