Keep the flow alive Jeni...it's interesting reading and most of us share your excitement, regardless of how often or where you post your news.
Mk4 Golf TDI Estate 4Motion, remapped 1.9. Sweet runner = keeper. She is the 66th vehicle I've owned and hopefully, the last.

I will have mine for a good few years and it will be well worn in when i come to change so the depreciation wont bother me.........i reckon for anyone buying a diesel they are in for a wee bargain my mileage justifies the diesel engine and i like a night out at the weekend too much to want to spend double on fuel costs for a GTI .............Vodka over GTI...........all the way

As a canny Scot the GTD fits the bill. £20 road tax, 50ish mpg and fast enough to "keep up" with most cars and permit safe overtaking occasionally. 😉 Enjoy your new car.

It will likely be going up to see Grant in Braco for a remap in the very near future so im confident it will rip the (  .  Y  .  ) out of a comparative car

Auto Express, the Daily Mail of motoring mags.

Indeed, the data for that claim is sketchy at best.

I'm waiting for someone to actually clearly state that its Euro4 and earlier (pre 2010 cars) that are the problem oil burners... because that is what they are actually talking about and what the manufacturers scrappage schemes are about...

Then we can finally move on...

Euro6 engines are super clean tbh.

I think the vagueness is deliberate - buy petrol cars! use more fuel! raise more duty...
