VW CarStick.
« on: 29 July 2017, 18:40 »
I've just added a CarStick and my first impressions are not that great. It always has a weaker signal than my phone and only ever shows 3G. See Below:

I was under the impression it would use a better aerial in the car to give a stronger signal to be a useable Wi-Fi hotspot in the car as well as use the Car-Net features.

Has anyone else got one or tried one to compare with my findings, I'm wondering whether I have a faulty stick or aerial?

A car stick is just a 3G dongle right, connected by USB?
So it wouldn't use any car aerials, simply the aerial built into the USB dongle.
