Going to look at a GTI…

There will be less GTi's around than R's that's for sure.  I can see why people go for the R but there are just too many on the roads now for me.

When I went to see my CS today the sales guy told me they sell around 20 R's a month !!

Why would there be less GTI's than R's?!

I'm sure its not just me but how many R's v GTi's do you see in a week ? 

Although the silly lease deals have no doubt dried up, I am sure that the R doesn't cost much more per month than a GTi PP with the same deposit so presumably that is why a lot of people go for it rather than the GTi ?

I could have had an R for a lot less "per month" than the CS but the monthly cost wasn't the driver for me.  I read in autocar that these days almost nobody looks at the total list price of a car ( I must be one of the few that does), simply the monthly PCP payment because they are so popular now.

I parked beside a night blue R yesterday and from the front my GTD looked better. Got a miles or so down the road and my wife asked me why I didn't take a photo
