Thinking of getting a new set of 19" Pretoria alloys to replace the 18" Belvedere on my Clubsport and was wondering do I have to purchase a new set of VW RDK/TPM sensors for the Pretorias and if it will be a simple case then of resetting the tyre pressure on the infotainment unit when the wheels are fitted to the car.

Tpm is done by the abs unit isn't it? It detects differences in wheel speeds and does not use pressure sensors in the dust caps like other systems do.

Spot on Fred. I think the US cars use the valve cap system, but ours is done by the ABS sensors.
