However ET30 & 38 will both stick out too far on a mk7 Golf.

The max you can get away with will be 45mm on a mk7 at the front. The 38's would fit the rear though, but only just.

Bah, you know how to ruin a person's day

Well they do an ET45 in the 19x8.5 wheel (and it's an extra £70 per wheel) but have never had 19's before.

How much of a difference would they make to the daily drive ride quality over city streets and do they effect mpg much?

If I opted for these what tyre size would I be looking at for the better ride quality. AS you can tell I'm a bit out of my depth with the larger wheel size as I have only ever used 18's on all the cars I've had.

That sounds a lot of money for the higher offset

You'd need 235/35/19 tyres to maintain gearing.

They're very much track orientated wheels so will be very strong and obviously a lighter wheel will generally drive and ride better.

Have a look on tyreleader.co.uk to see if they have any in stock and also try felgenoutlet.de

Ex - the extra £70 is for the 19" wheel which actually comes in the right offset.

I doubt there's anything in it for economy and they'll probably ride similar to standard (or the tiniest bit worse). The smaller sidewall might be made up for by the lightness of the wheels.

D'oh, Specsavers moment.
I was so dazzled by the pic of the Racelight I mistook the 8.5x18 for x19

Checked out those two sites but neither had them

As Gnasher pointed out, the extra £70 was for the larger wheel size.

Cheapest I have managed to find them for so far is £314 per wheel and then £130 per corner for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric  3

Hmmm, I hate making decisions  :undecided: The BBS SX would leave a lot of change in my pocket in comparison but I do so like the Racelights. This may cause me many sleepless nights.....

Thanks for your input guys, appreciate it
