tyre roll noise
« on: 04 November 2016, 13:12 »
I drive a CS and there is quite some "roll noise" from the back wheels, especially when I drive on roads with a bad/concrete surface. I have the Bridgestones replaced by PS4 but for the noise from the back there is no real improvement. I think it's just some lack of noise insulation and the fact that it has 225 tyres? It's the first time I drive a car with such wide wheels, so probably it's a normal thing...

would be happy with your confirmations

CS or CS-S?

If its a CS-S then the noise will be like driving around with the rear seats folded down - always much noiser.

My Bridgestones were also very noisy and fitted Uniroyal RS2's and it made a hell of a difference. They are so quiet now, check the noise rating on the ones you have fitted on Black Circle or CamSkill to see their rating.

CS

It's just surprising that the noise from the rear tyres is so much more than from the front... even proper with back seats...

The wheel arches in the rear are inside of the cabin space.... the fronts aren't.
