Hello all,
Recently purchased a lovely ED35 after the other half wrote off Betty, my ED30 (Yep, I name my cars, sorry).
So, Dorothy (ED35) has an issue with one of the headlight washers. There's plenty of screen wash over the floor when activated but non on the light. The washer housing doesn't pop up. The housing doesn't appear to be stuck, although I can only see it from the top. I've tried to reach underneath the front bumper to see what I can feel but there isn't much in the way of space for a hand. I was wondering if any of you kind folk would be able to advise whether or not I could try and lift the nozzle from the top to see if it's stuck or not or whether you think a hose may have popped off the back of it. Is it the case that they lift by water pressure?
The place I bought it from said they'd have a look but they're a 200 mile round trip away so I was hoping to have a look at it myself before I made the journey, at least to find out whether or not it's a pricy fix. If it's not then I'll just take it to a garage I trust to get the work done or if it's simple enough to look into myself, I'm happy to do that.
Don't have much experience with taking bumpers off cars and she's still pretty new to me too.
Thanks for any help/advice you may be able to offer.
G.
