Anyone had some odd behaviour from their fan / air conditioning? Mine is pulsing a bit recently (full fan then low) but still blowing out cold / at the appropriate temperature. I was putting that down to a sensor being confused by the difference between ambient temperature and the temperature of the air coming out, and it does seem to settle down after a bit.
The other oddity is that I turned the air con (and fan) off completely when almost home, but it then comes back on when I take the key out of the ignition, and stays on for a bit.
The main engine cooling fan is off, so I don't think it is an engine cooling issue. I've checked coolant too and it is only just above the minimum mark, but it is within the prescribed levels. No obvious damaged cables under the bonnet either, but I can't eliminate that.
Faulty temperature sensor, or just confused by this unusual Scottish sun and warmth?
It was doing this on Tuesday evening when I put the car away, and the fan was on when I got in this morning (may have been off in between, but I can't tell). Is there an obvious air-con / interior fan fuse I can remove and re-insert? Booked info a service a week today anyway, but don't want to knacker it or for the battery to go flat in the meantime.
