would a GTD back box fit on a gti exhaust
« on: 19 March 2016, 11:49 »
I find it pointless and frustrating that there is an exhaust exit either side, when it provides no advantage to anything and looks daft to me, so like all previous golf gtis the gtd does it properly with them both on the left. so could a GTD diffuser and back box make my gti look like it should always have been?
To me the gtd exhaust looks purposeful and the gti looks silly and showy. The fancy tips that are fitted nowadays look daft too. It's there to do a job, I like it to look like it's there to do a job. (Why I like delta integrales so much, really they are quite ugly but they look incredible)

I'm not sure but I like the two exhaust tips..!

What about getting different exhaust tip covers? Pretty sure I've seen some carbon fibre ones if one is into that look!

I'd rather just have a pipe that ends, no fancy tip

The answer to your question above is yes. The GTD diffuser will fit the GTI bumper and the back box will fit the hanger brackets. I think the only but not a problem is that the bore of the GTD exhaust is maybe 5mm smaller.
Audi S1 gone, awaiting 1.5tsi r-line, pan roof, led lights front and rear, active dash, 18" jurva alloys and a dealer fitted Oettinger roof spoiler in tornado red.
