Enough air for induction kit?

I have an R32 front bumper but the 2 side vent parts in the bumper have been filled (basically to hide my intercooler tubing) only the middle mouth part is visible
If I run an induction kit that runs to the passenger side wheel arch do you think that there is enough air going to be drawn in as the vent is filled? When I took the carbonio off it sat right behind the filled part

I'm getting serious restriction on my airbox and pipercross

If it sits right behind the vent but you don't want to see the pipes behind it, can't you paint/replace the pipe with black or make a cover to hide the pipe and/or maybe ducting air directly to the filter?

the bumper is already filled, I used to run an induction kit when they weren't filled but went to an airbox when the bumper was done.
now toying with going back to an induction kit but I think there wouldn't be enough airflow for it because it would sit right behind where its filled

there isnt enough space to route anything to it for extra airflow

Can't you go for a drive and let everything warm up and then measure the temperature in the area where the filter will be that might give you a better idea, and unless it's a very confined space I wouldn't have thought air starvation would be an issue, it's not a brabham BMW out for qualifying after all. Temperature would probably be the biggest enemy, in a poorly ventilated area. Measuring it will give you a better idea of how much ventilation you're getting.

By filling in the vents what exactly do you mean? Making it look like there was never a vent there or blocking it off so it still there but doesn't do anything. As you could open some of the vent back up if that was the case to let some air back in.

No the vents basically were plastic welded, and then it was all primed and painted so that only the middle one is visible

Its hard to explain the position of the filter but the only air it could possibly get is from air coming under the bumper and I presume it would just be going straight under the car and no where near the filter

Don't want to bugger the engine
