Mk5 GTI abnormal oil consumption

Hi, I recently purchased a GTI,(2007 bwa engine) I know they all consume oil but my consume abnormal much oil it consumes about 1 liter to 600 km, from the exhaust pipe saw no blue or white smoke, the only black when I press the pedal to the metal, the car going and pulls really good dont know what the problem is, please help ,,, PS sorry my for english I am from Croatia .Thx.

have you checked for oil leaks?

i have the same problem and just got mine serviced today

i was told both my front shock absorbers are leaking which is where the oil is going

so they told you that your engine oil is leaking out your front shocks  :grin: :grin: that dealer is good

I have a 2006 MK5, it uses oil but not that fast, I have to top 2000 miles or so. Thats about 3218km.  :nerd:
Wait, my front shock is leaking as well :o (Sorry I had to) :whistle:

I would get some one to have a look at that, or perhaps look for loose hose underneath the plastic engine top cover.
Can you see any oil spray, inside the engine bay, or on top of the lower engine skirt.

What about the sump, is it wet near the drain plug, or the gearbox to engine joint.

Take photographs and post. or if your realy not sure, take it to a mechanic.
