Today took the y shaped hose of the rocker cover and it was caked up with black stuff the pipe goes in too a metal pipe which looks to have some kind of metal filter in it can i replace the metal pipe if not can i take it off and clean it?

Sure it got a filter on it?
Yeah can be taken off and cleaned. Bit of a fiddle....

The metal pipe I looks like inside it has loads of metal looks a bit like a spring inside but it's really dirty
