Long weekend in the R
« on: 11 October 2015, 20:59 »
So this weekend has been a bit of a mission. Had a conference in Birmingham today and have to be in Canterbury for a trip to Paris tomorrow, which involved me driving from Great Yarmouth to Birmingham yesterday (180miles) then sit through 8 hours of a clinical research presentation,  followed by another 180 mile trip to Canterbury, all with the wife, 2 yr old and a jam packed car.

Firstly the car never missed a beat, as to be expected in this day and age for £35k imo.

Secondly, I used ACC the whole way to Birmingham and I find it amazing how easy it is to cruise even with medium traffic levels.

After the second journey, my right leg had started to go numb, the ride had started to jar on me a bit, even with DCC in comfort, but that's my only real complaint

Interestingly I used Eco the whole weekend, I wasn't driving like a nun but with a loaded car, wife, child and nearly 400miles I didn't want to hammer it.

This was the result

I should point out that's one tank of momentum fuel.

I got 34 to Birmingham because of the hour long traffic jam getting into the centre.

40.4 to Canterbury with stupidly bad traffic.

Had a minor issue when I got to Canterbury, I couldn't find a shell or tesco so had to put in wasp supreme, only £15 to get me to Ashford but still the first time I have had to use poor fuel :(
