Has anyone else experienced any rust issues on a mk 4 golf?? think mine is the only Mk 4 in the world to experience some metal cancer?? mine isn't that bad, just bit of bubbling of paint work on my rear passenger side wheel arch. Any ideas how much this could be to remedy folks??

cant remember the anti corrosion warranty on the mk4, im sure some one here will be able to inform us, i got 1 teeny spec on mine near the back 1/4 window prob where a stones chipped the paint and the weathers got in.... so much for galvanised bodies eh??? tis a bit pants really as mines 6 years old... dont really want any rust blebs on a 6 year old or newer car!!

dont worry yours is nt the only golf in the world to rust. mine is five years old and it has a small blemish on the passenegr rear arch. I thought with a galvonised body I would have rust free motoring for a few more years yet

Just looked at my warranty for paint, and you get a 6 year warranty for rust and 3 years for any paint faults whatever they could be so if ya car is under 6 take it back!

Oh and for galvanised its a 12 years warranty, hope this is helpful

my car is an early mk4, 7yrs and couple months old   

how can i find out if galvanized or not?? is there an easy way of being able to tell does anyone know?? otherwise i'll have to give the stealership a call
